Snowman Cheese Ball Recipe

3 8 ounce packages of cream cheese, softened

4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (16 ounces)

1 container 4 ounce container of softened whipped cream cheese

Finely chopped green onion (comes in a bunch)

1 finely chopped shallot (optional)

Finely chopped garlic to taste or garlic powder (optional)

1 teaspoon paprika

Directions:

In a medium bowl mix together your softened cream cheese and shredded cheese. After completely mixed together, mix in your other ingredients. Once mixed together, place mixture on top of your wax paper. Now form into a two balls, one for the head and the other for the body. Once shaped stack on top of one another and add your softened whipped cream cheese. Now decorate as desired. I used fresh rosemary on the head, asparagus for the arms, raisins for the buttons and eyes, and of course a carrot nose.

Finely chopped garlic to taste or garlic powder (optional)

Halloween party, mummy hot dog

Last year my parents brought my nephews over for trick or treating in my neighborhood.

Of course everyone needs to eat before trick or treating so I prepared a few simple dishes: crab stuffed mushrooms, meatballs with Aunties secret sauce, mummy dogs, and hot dogs.

For the mummy dogs I wrapped unbaked crescent rolls around half of the plain hot dogs as I have seen done on Pinterest. While wrapping I left just enough room for the eyes. Everything needed for the hot dogs cheese, onions, and slaw fit right on the platter. Chili stayed warm on the stove top so everything was in one area for easier and faster plating.

The mushrooms are made from my mushroom recipe blog. Enjoy!

Auntie’s meatballs and secret sauce recipe coming soon.

Christmas tree decorating, critter Christmas tree, owl Christmas tree, squirrel Christmas tree, woodland Christmas tree

As some of you may already know sewing is my life’s dream. But my second passion is decorating especially for the holidays. At Christmas I usually put up eight to ten Christmas trees. One for every room each tree having its own theme. Some of the trees I do the same every year and the other trees change like the weather.

Sometimes I see one thing and my mind starts spinning with endless possibilities.

Whether I see a something online or just as simple nick nack I think of the endless possibilities of that item being an ornament for my tree.
This year my mind went crazy when I found a few soft fuzzy owl ornaments and a straw squirrel decoration at a local store.

The hunt was on after that for anything and everything that could go on my “Woodland Tree”. It did not take long to fill my tree with everything from cattails and berries to porcupines and other woodland critters.

I very rarely look in the Christmas decoration department when I am hunting for ideas. And I always find it best to look in the most off the wall shops if I am looking at their ornaments.

I used the mesh for the first time in a few of my trees this year and what a difference the mesh makes. Adds a much different look than the ribbon I typically use.

I am so excited to share my love for sewing, decorating, organizing, gardening, and cooking with you. I am a SAHM of a beautiful seventeen year old. Ah... teenagers. I love to do just about anything craft and sewing related. There's nothing better than doing what I love everyday and the best part it never feels like work
